Mexico police release more information about weekend killing

MEXICO, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mexico police on Tuesday released a description of a vehicle that might have been involved in a deadly weekend shooting.

The Mexico Department of Public Safety said in a news release that a black sedan similar to a Chevrolet Impala dropped off two people blocks from the home where Chance Davis, 25, was shot and killed before daybreak Saturday.

A woman told investigators that an intruder broke into the home and shot Davis, her boyfriend. Police said Saturday that they believed two intruders had entered the home.

The Mid Missouri Major Case Squad was activated to help with the case but Mexico police released the squad Tuesday.
