MOBERLY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Moberly Police Department arrested a woman Tuesday in connection with a felony stealing investigation in Boone County.

According to a news release, an officer arrested Lisa Thorp after making contact with her around midnight on East Coates Street. The officer recognized her and was aware she had an active warrant.

Police said jail staff found a bag of meth on Thorp during the booking process at the Randolph County Jail.

Police said a new warrant was issued for Thorp. Prosecutors charged her on Tuesday with delivery or possession of a controlled substance at a correctional center.

Online court records show prosecutors have previously charged Thorp with drug-related felonies in separate cases.

Police did not provide additional details about the Boone County stealing case. Online court records show Boone County prosecutors charged a woman by the name of Lisa Thorp in 2019 with felony stealing leased or rented property.
