Jail records said a Columbia man accused of kidnapping and other felonies was arrested by police.

The Columbia Police Department said on April 28 that 25-year-old Tavon Coleman was suspected of multiple felony crimes.

According to online jail records, Coleman was booked into the Boone County Jail around 4:30 p.m. As of Friday, he had been held in jail custody on a $55,000 bond.

Online court records say he faces felony charges for domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and kidnapping. The records don't list an attorney for Coleman.
