COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man wanted in a February burglary that led to an officer-involved shooting was arrested Monday in New York state.

The Columbia Police Department said Keith Edwin Brodie, 41, was arrested Monday morning in Syracuse, New York on Missouri and New Jersey warrants. He was being held Tuesday in the Onondaga County Jail.

Brodie was wanted in Missouri on suspicion of first- and second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and resisting arrest in Boone County. The charges stem from an armed Feb. 20 break-in at a home. Police said Brodie led them on a chase and tried to ram an officer in his truck.

Officers then shot at Brodie, but he got away, police said. CPD released the details of the incident eight days afterward.

Brodie is wanted in New Jersey on suspicion of violation of a court order and stalking.
