Miller County deputies are looking for a man after they allegedly found a homemade bomb during a search for stolen property.

Sheriff Louie Gregoire said in a news release that deputies were searching a residence off Route W near Lake Ozark for stolen items when they found an improvised explosive device. Deputies called in the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the bomb was "rendered safe" and taken from the property, Gregoire said.

The sheriff's office then continued its theft investigation, Gregoire said.

Gregoire said authorities are looking for Kaleb Henson on suspicion of theft and having an explosive device.

The release did not give details about the makeup of the homemade bomb or what Henson is accused of stealing.
