CENTRALIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A high-speed chase that began in Columbia ended on a country road between Centralia and Sturgeon on Wednesday.

The Boone County Sheriff's Department said Robert Aulidge, 32, was arrested for leading authorities on a chase Wednesday.

The chase began at Highway 63 and Rangeline Road and ended at Schunemeyer Road and Highway 22 in northern Boone County, sheriff's Deputy Jay Stewart said. Authorities were chasing a suspect on a motorcycle, who was arrested at the end of the chase, Stewart said.

The chase began late Wednesday morning. Stewart said it started when deputies tried to pull over the motorcycle rider for traffic violations.

Stewart declined to name the suspect at the scene.

Speeds reached more than 100 mph during the pursuit, he said. No one was injured.

Hallsville and Centralia police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol helped the Boone County Sheriff's Department during the chase, Stewart said.
