Two arrested in connection with Mexico church burglary

MEXICO, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two Mexico, Missouri, men were arrested on Friday after they allegedly stole from a church last week.

Christopher S. Zalucky, 25, and Phillip J. Sledge, 31, allegedly went into a church in the 1900 block of Lakeview Road sometime between Dec. 22 and Dec. 24, according to a news release from the Mexico Public Safety Department. They were then arrested on Friday in connection with the burglary.

Zalucky and Sledge were also arrested for other crimes, the release said.

Both men were released from custody pending charges.

It was not immediately clear what the men stole from the building.
