Murder suspect booked in Boone County Jail on more than $1 million bond

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man wanted in a January shooting death was booked into the Boone County Jail on Tuesday morning after he was arrested in Arizona last month.

Garland B. Wisley, 61, was arrested at the end of November after he was caught trying to regain entry into the United States from Mexico.

Wisley was charged with second-degree murder in the Jan. 13 killing of John Albers, 38, on Sarazen Drive.

He was booked in the Boone County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder, armed criminal action and possession of a controlled substance. He's being held on a $1,040,000 bond.

According to jail records, Wisley is expected to be in court on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
