Fulton Police: No one hurt in shooting at Break Time gas station

Fulton Police responded to a shooting at a Break Time gas station Friday night.

FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE 12:45 a.m.: Fulton police said in a news release that no one was reported hurt in the shooting.

According to police, multiple people were involved in a physical altercation. During the fight, the subjects exchanged gunfire in the parking lot of the Break Time gas station.

Police said several bullets hit the gas station and broke a front window. The bullets also damaged an ice machine.

The Fulton Police Department, along with the Callaway County Sheriff's Office, are working to identify and locate those involved in the shooting.

ORIGINAL: Fulton Police Chief Steve Myers confirmed shots were fired at the Break Time gas station on Fourth Street on Friday night.

A spokeswoman with Westminster College said campus security alerted students to the shooting. The school's vice president of strategic communications Lana Poole said security officers went to campus housing and dorm buildings and told students to stay indoors and avoid the area around Break Time.

It's unclear if anyone was hurt, or if any property was damaged from the shooting.
