MONDAY UPDATES: Boone County reports seven COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 78 weekend cases

The Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services is reporting that 100 new coronavirus cases were added to the information hub on Monday.

Of those 100 new cases, 20 cases were reported for Saturday, 24 cases on Friday and 34 cases on Tuesday. The rest of the cases were spread out throughout the month of May and April. The county delays reporting cases by two days.

The dashboard is showing seven COVID-19 patients in Boone County hospitals. One patient is in the ICU and one patient is on a ventilator.

Additionally, 45,135 previous COVID-19 cases were recorded previously.

Boone County is reported to have a low COVID-19 community level, according to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS).

Cole County reports six new cases over the past four days

The Cole County Health Department reported six new coronavirus cases on Monday.

According to the dashboard update, there are 17,472 total cases in the county since March 2020.

The Missouri coronavirus vaccine dashboard reports Cole County as having a low COVID-19 community level.

The Jefferson City School District reported no new coronavirus case in a student or in a staff member on Sunday.

The district is reporting one active case in a student and no active case in a staff member.
