Missouri attorney general files lawsuit against St. Louis County passes a mask mandate

KMIZ

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri's attorney general says he has filed another lawsuit against St. Louis County's latest mask mandate.

In a release, Attorney General Eric Schmitt says "County Executive Page is attempting to impose his will on the citizens of St. Louis County through the forced masking of adults and even children."

It's after the county council approved a new order last night to issue a mask mandate for the county.

The attorney general argues the mandate is illegal under a new state law that limits who can and cannot issue health orders.
