Health officials are sounding alarms about the newest coronavirus variant, omicron.

President Joe Biden addressed the coronavirus news Monday, urging the public to be careful but not to panic. Scientists say omicron's mutations concern them but it's too early to tell if the variant will spread more easily or cause more severe illness than previous iterations of the virus.
