QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should health care workers have to get the coronavirus vaccine?
SSM, the organization that owns St. Mary's Hospital, announced Monday that it will require all of its employees to get the coronavirus vaccine by September.
The hospital said the continuing spread of the virus and low vaccination rates make it important for workers to get vaccinated before flu season. Such decisions have met with criticism and even organized opposition in parts of the country as workers and politicians push back on the requirement as an infringement on medical freedom.
