The state health department reports confirmed and probable cases through two types of testing -- PCR and antigen. Health officials say antigen tests provide results quicker than through PCR and can be more prone to false reports.
Department officials reported 478 confirmed, positive cases through PCR testing and 295 probable through antigen testing. Over the week ending on Monday, daily average cases reported through PCR testing were at 336, with a daily average of 238 cases reported through antigen testing over the same time.

State hospital officials said on the dashboard that 855 people were hospitalized and 165 others were in ICU beds because of the pandemic. Rates for virus-related hospitalizations and ICU stays have fallen for months.
The latest data available said fewer people were in ICUs than when the statistic was first reported in June. Officials said Missouri had 37% of its total hospital bed capacity still available.
A little more than 20% of Missourians have initiated coronavirus vaccination -- about 1.25 million people. Nearly 2 million total vaccine doses have been administered across the state, the dashboard said.
