The meeting comes as Cole County has reported fewer than 10 new cases of COVID-19 every day thus far in March.

Officials with Capital Region Medical Center and Jefferson City Medical Group asked people who have already been vaccinated to take their names off of vaccine lists. A spokesman for JCMG said staff members are calling 20-30 people every day before finding a person who hasn't been vaccinated.

Dr. Michelle Barg with Capital Region Medical Center said during the meeting many people are signing up for any and all vaccine lists. She urged people to follow up with those vaccine providers and their primary care physician to let them know if they have been vaccinated elsewhere.

Officials also talked about new recommendations for people who have been vaccinated. Dr. Lenora Adams with SSM St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City said fully vaccinated people can get together without having to wear masks. Adams said fully vaccinated people can also meet with people who have not been vaccinated.
