JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The state is teaming up with the Missouri National Guard and Department of Health and Senior Services to host a mass vaccination clinic in Jefferson City on Friday.

See what the vaccination clinic looks like in the media player below.

The clinic is being held at The Linc in Jefferson City from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

All 2,016 appointments are booked for Friday's event. Cole County Health Department Director Kristi Campbell said they hope to vaccinate 72 people every 15 minutes.

Leaders are asking community members not to show up to the event unless you have an appointment.

Staff will also be monitoring the number of people who don't show up for their appointment to avoid overdrawing doses.

This site is one of 10 mass vaccination clinics being put on by the state from Feb. 4-6.
