COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The new State Profile Report, formally known as the White House 'Red Zone' Report under the Trump administration, shows new deaths, hospitalizations and positivity rates across Missouri continue to go down.

Those numbers are for the week of Jan. 24 compared to the week of Jan. 17.

However, the data set shows new cases are up by about 3,000.

During the week of Jan. 17, the state saw about 9,500 new cases while last week Missouri recorded about 12,200.

Despite the rise in new cases, other measures seem to be getting better. The report shows 15 Missouri counties moving out of the 'red zone.'

Based on new cases and test positivity in the last week, Callaway, Saline, Macon, Audrain, Cooper and Ozark counties remain in the 'red zone.'

Boone, Randolph and Moniteau counties were listed in the 'orange zone.'

Cole, Pettis, Osage and Benton counties are in the 'yellow zone.'

While most of these trends are down, the state is still seeing a high number of new hospitalizations, deaths and cases - just fewer than the week before.

The report also shows fewer people are getting tested for the virus. Recently, some mid-Missouri testing sites have shortened hours due to a decrease in demand.
