WATCH: Boone Hospital chief medical officer talks state reopening

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri lifted all orders related to COVID-19 on Tuesday, as cases continue to rise across the state.

Wednesday, Boone County health officials reported eight new cases of COVID-19. A total of 16,625 cases have been confirmed across the state, leading to at least 909 deaths.

Mid-Missouri hospitals have said they are prepared for a surge in cases.

Dr. Robin Blount, the chief medical officer at Boone Hospital Center, joined ABC 17's Molly Stawinoga to talk about how they are handling reopening and changing hospital policies.
