WATCH: Columbia mayor addresses increase in COVID-19 cases

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Mayor Brian Treece spoke with ABC 17 News on Monday as the city council met to discuss COVID-19 and its hit on the fiscal 2021 budget.

Treece addressed the five-case increase in Boone County over the past two days and how it will affect plans to ease restrictions in the next phase of reopening.

Health officials have signaled new information about that next phase of reopening, expected to includes eased business restrictions, will be released next week.
