SUNDAY UPDATES: Missouri reporting 594 deaths from COVID-19

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE 8:00 P.M.: The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reported 10,789 cases of COVID-19 in the state Sunday.

There have been at least 594 deaths from the virus.

At least 146,255 people in Missouri have been tested.

UPDATE 3:05 P.M.: The Columbia/Boone County Health Department reported four new cases of COVID-19 Sunday.

That is the largest jump in the number of cases since the middle of April. The number of cases of COVID-19 jumped from 79 to 83 from April 13 to April 14.

There are currently eight active cases out of the 104 confirmed.

ORIGINAL: The Saline County Health Department reported an additional three positive cases of the coronavirus.

The positive tests bring the total confirmed cases in Saline to 251. Only 57 of those cases are still active.

Two people have died in Saline County from COVID-19 related illnesses.
