WATCH: MU Health Care prepared for but not expecting a surge in COVID-19 cases

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

University of Missouri Health Care's Dr. Mark Wakefield joined ABC 17's Zara Barker live during the morning newscasts Tuesday.

Wakefield talked about MU Health Care's latest efforts to battle the spread of COVID-19 but also return to somewhat of a new normal.

He said MU Health Care is prepared for a surge in patients as the state has lifted the statewide stay-at-home order. He said while they are prepared, they do not anticipate a second wave.

MU Health Care has slowly started to allow more clinic visits and elective procedures.
