St. Louis County, Kansas City extend stay-at-home orders

ABC 17 News

O'FALLON, Mo. (AP)

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson is set to announce whether he's extending his statewide stay-at-home order to help contain the spread of the coronavirus, but Missouri's largest city and county aren't waiting.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas and St. Louis County Executive Sam Page both announced Thursday that they're extending their local stay-at-home mandates. Kansas City's is extended to May 15. St. Louis County's is extended indefinitely, but Page says he'll revisit it in mid-May.

Parson said on his Facebook page that he'll make an announcement Thursday about the statewide order.
