Interview: MU Health Care making room for possible COVID-19 influx

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

MU Health Care Associate Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mark Wakefield joined ABC 17 News live Tuesday to discuss the efforts surrounding COVID-19.

Wakefield discussed how MU Health Care has changed its operations in various ways, such as making room for an influx of patients, keeping its staff safe and changing its visitor policies.

Wakefield said MU Health Care has been treating about two to three patients with COVID-19 at a time, but they are prepared for a surge of patients.
