Ameren customers from Cooper, Moniteau counties lose power from storms; Jamestown issues boil order

BOONVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

Nearly 700 Ameren customers in Cooper County were without power early Monday evening.

There were 690 customers without power in Cooper County. Moniteau County also had a sizable outage with 260 Ameren customers without power.

An Ameren spokesperson told ABC 17 News in an email that the outage was weather-related and began at 4:10 p.m. The spokesperson claimed all power was restored by 6 p.m., but residents have told ABC 17 News that power has yet to return.

Power appeared to return around 10 p.m.

The outage led to the City of Jamestown to issue a boil water order.
