Cooper County man dies from crash injuries

JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Cooper County man who crashed his 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo last month in Johnson County has died.

Andrew Zeller, 38, died at University of Kansas Hospital on Wednesday, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash occurred Saturday, April 29.

Zeller’s vehicle crashed when he failed to negotiate a turn at Central Missouri Speedway, became airborne after going off an embankment and hitting several trees, according to the report.

A GoFundMe was set up to assist with medical and funeral expenses.

Howard Funeral Home said on its Facebook page that a visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday. Funeral services begin 10 a.m. Tuesday.at Open Bible Praise Center. The burial will follow at Old Lamine Cemetery near Blackwater.
