Sidewalk, parking closures announced near Downtown Columbia intersection

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A portion of a sidewalk and metered parking will be closed off next week in Downtown Columbia as crews install a canopy.

According to a Monday press release from the city, the canopy will be put over the sidewalk near the Guitar Building on North Eighth Street.

A portion of the sidewalk and metered parking spaces on the east side of North Eighth Street will be closed between East Walnut Street and Broadway. The south side of East Walnut Street between North Eighth and Ninth streets will see its sidewalk and metered parking closed off, the release says.

The release says work will begin at 7 a.m. Monday, March 17 and will wrap up by 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 18.
