Columbia Public Schools, Jefferson City School District not in session on Tuesday
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Columbia Public Schools will not be in session on Tuesday.
A district spokesperson wrote on social media that Tuesday will be a day for alternative methods of instruction for students. Tuesday is the last AMI day that can be used by the school district before having to make up class hours over the summer.

The Jefferson City School District announced in an email that its schools would be closed on Tuesday because of the weather and possible hazardous road conditions.
Multiple of inches of snow are expected to fall in Columbia on Tuesday, prompting the ABC 17 News Stormtrack Weather Team to issue a Weather Alert Day for Tuesday. Roughly 2-5 inches is expected in Columbia, with potential totals increasing in the southern portion of our viewing area.
A crew of 25 snow plow drivers will report for duty in Columbia at 7 p.m.
