Columbia man pleads guilty in armed robbery case, sentenced to 7 years in prison

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Columbia man accused in a January armed robbery pleaded guilty to a pair of felonies on Monday.
Donzale Gaines, 58, pleaded guilty to stealing and illegal gun possession. He was previously charged with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and illegal gun possession.
He was sentenced to seven years in prison. He is currently at the Boone County Jail.
Gaines was accused of pulling out a gun and demanding money from the victim on Jan. 15 in the 200 block of Allen Walkway.
The victim then handed over $20, court documents say. The victim was able to identify Gaines in a photo lineup.
