Snow plow crews to be dispatched Tuesday night in Columbia for Wednesday snow

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The City of Columbia will send out several snow plow crews in anticipation of light snowfall Wednesday morning, according to a social media post from the Department of Public Works.
The ABC 17 News Stormtrack Weather Team is expecting a dusting of snow on Wednesday.
An eight-person snow crew will report at 11 p.m. Tuesday to monitor and treat the roads, while a 10-person crew will join them at 5 a.m., the post says.
The post says that “additional Street division staff reporting at 7 a.m. Crews will focus on first, second and third priority roads to ensure safer travel conditions.”
A full list of first and second priority routes can be found on the city’s website. Third priority routes can be found there, as well. Priority areas include Downtown and other neighborhoods.
A number of major roads in Columbia – including Stadium Boulevard, Highway 63, Interstate 70 and others -- are maintained by the Missouri Department of Transportation.
