COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Several states and city offices in Missouri observe Veterans Day on Monday, and trash services will be impacted in at least two Mid-Missouri cities.

The City of Columbia wrote on its website that city offices will be closed and that curbside trash will not be picked up that day. Regular trash pickup for the rest of the week will be delayed one day throughout the city, the release says.

Trash services in Fulton will also be impacted. The city’s solid waste department’s calendar shows that trash will not be picked up on Monday, and that pickup will occur on Tuesday.

Additionally, Columbia’s press release says that Go COMO bus routes will not operate on Monday, the health department will be closed and the Activity and Recreation Center will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Trash services will not be interrupted in Jefferson City, but city offices will be closed that day.
