Top floors of 2 Columbia parking garages to close next week for winter season

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The top floors of the Fifth and Walnut Parking Garage and Short Street Parking Garage will be closed for the winter season, beginning next week, according to a Thursday press release from the City of Columbia.

The release says both parking garages will close at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4 and will reopen Monday, March 24, 2025, weather permitting.

The top levels of both parking garages close each winter. The release says keeping the top floors cleared helps parking staff during snow events. Chains and cones will be in place, the release says.
