Two found dead after welfare check in west Columbia neighborhood

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Police say two people were found dead Thursday in a residential neighborhood in west Columbia.

Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Jenny Hopper said foul play was not suspected in the deaths on Cedar Falls Lane. There's no threat to the public, she said.

Police did not provide an age range for the people found dead and did not say whether they were related. The discovery came when police were called for a welfare check, Hopper said.

An ABC 17 News photographer at the scene saw at least a half-dozen CPD cruisers and a Columbia Fire Department truck.
