Speed humps to be added to some west Columbia streets next week
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Columbia Public Works crews will begin installing speed humps next week to multiple streets in western Columbia, according to a Friday press release.
Work will begin Monday on Highridge Drive, Ridgemont and Hulen Drive, the release says. Crews will then replace deteriorated speed humps on Kunlun Drive and Berrywood Drive.
Full street closures will not be required, but single lane closures may cause some delays, the release says. All work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16.
The speed humps are being installed after traffic studies showed vehicles drive at higher speeds on those roads, the release claims. Speed humps were installed this week on Hanover Boulevard, Garden Drive and Spencer Avenue.
