No injuries reported in RV fire on Highway 63 in Columbia
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
No injuries were reported after an RV caught fire Tuesday on Highway 63 in Columbia, according to an email from Columbia Fire Department spokeswoman Katherine Rodriguez.
The northbound onramp for Highway 63 in Columbia from Broadway was closed as first responders work in the area. Boone County Joint Communications announced the closure at 4:22 p.m. BCJC announced the onramp was reopened at 4:58 p.m.
The front of an RV was seen burnt along Highway 63. Two Columbia fire trucks were at the scene.
Rodriguez told ABC 17 News that firefighters were dispatched at 4:09 p.m. and the first truck arrived at 4:14 p.m. Crews were able to get the fire under control within 10 minutes.
At 4:09 this afternoon, CFD was dispatched to respond to a vehicle fire near East Broadway and North Highway 63. The first responding unit arrived three minutes later at 4:14 and crews were able to knock down the fire within 10 minutes. There were no injuries. pic.twitter.com/BwW0qklKP3

The cause of the fire was not described.
