Columbia to have plow crews on roads by Friday morning

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Snow plow crews will be reporting in Columbia at 6 a.m. Friday, according to a social media post from the city.

ABC 17 News issued a Weather Alert Day for Friday, as snow is expected to enter the area in the morning. One-to-three inches of show are expected for communities along the Interstate 70 corridor and north. Road impacts will likely be limited for those south of the Missouri River where snowfall rates will be lighter. Isolated 4-inch spots will be possible from a small zone from Paris to Mexico to Vandalia.

Crews will be monitoring conditions Friday evening for any refreeze potential and spotty slick conditions, the release states.
