One injury during Quail Drive shooting

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Police said one person was injured at a shooting-scene Saturday night, however it appears to not be from a gunshot wound.

According to a Facebook post from Columbia Police, that person refused medical attention.

Columbia Police told ABC 17 News Saturday night that no one was seriously hurt in the shooting on Quail Drive. Columbia Police said Saturday at least two people were taken into custody. However in a Sunday update, police said no one was arrested.

Columbia Police said this is an ongoing investigation.

"The initial investigation led to the serving of search warrants and the seizure of evidence. At this time, no arrests have been made," reads the Facebook post.

Columbia Police are blocking off an area of Quail Drive Saturday night. ABC 17 reporters arrived around 5:30 p.m. and were told to keep a distance. At 6:12 p.m., Boone County Joint Communications sent a message saying to use caution in the area of 2500 Quail Drive due to a law enforcement incident.

ABC 17 spoke to neighbors on scene. One woman said she's worried her brother might be involved because his car is near the scene. Another neighbor said they heard about five gunshots.

Reporters watched as police took one man into custody. An onlooker told ABC 17 News the man is her uncle, and she rushed over when her 13-year-old cousin called to tell her their house was being searched by police.

Columbia Police were seen searching a car. ABC 17 crews observed another car with bullet holes in it.

In addition to about a dozen Columbia Police vehicles, Boone Health ambulances and the Columbia Fire Department are on scene. A SWAT truck is also in front of a house, ABC 17 crews observed.
