Car flips in Columbia, closes Brown School Rd. Saturday morning

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A crash in Columbia has closed a portion of Brown School Rd in Columbia Saturday morning.

Boone County Joint Communication sent an alert at 1:22 a.m. asking drivers to avoid the area as they respond to a car crash in the 300 block of West Brown School Rd. The crash closed the road in both directions.

ABC 17 Crews on scene say a Boone County Fire Protection truck, two Boone County Sheriff deputies, and a tow truck.

A deputy on scene told our reporter that two people sustained minor injuries on the scene and were transported to a local hospital. He added that crews will be on the scene while working to clean up the debris.

Our reporter saw one vehicle flipped over on the side of the road.

The Boone County Sheriff's office said they will be investigating the crash.
