QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should more workers have paid family and medical leave?
The Columbia City Council voted Monday to give its employees six weeks of paid medical and family leave.
Supporters say they voted for the benefit to make it easier to recruit and keep good workers as other employers offer paid leave. Among them is the University of Missouri, which will offer the benefit starting next year.
