QUESTION OF THE DAY: Should Columbia be an LGBTQ+ sanctuary city?

A group of University of Missouri students is asking the Columbia City Council to make the city a sanctuary for the LGBTQ+ community.

The Democratic Socialists student group made the proposal this week. They cite state laws that have limited health care for transgender people and defined how student-athletes can compete.
