Woman dies after west Columbia crash
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A 22-year-old woman has died after a single-vehicle crash Monday morning, police said Tuesday.
Kira B. Shocks of Columbia was killed when the SUV she was traveling in rolled near the eastbound Interstate 70 on-ramp in the area of West Boulevard and Business Loop 70. Shocks was a passenger in the vehicle.
The driver suffered minor injuries, according to the Columbia Police Department. Investigators say the vehicle was traveling on the ramp when the driver lost control of the SUV, which slid and then rolled over.
Shocks died at a hospital, police said.
(1) At approximately 7:50 a.m. on Jan. 9 officers were dispatched to the area of West Boulevard and Business Loop 70 for a reported traffic collision involving a single vehicle.
