Two people hurt Thursday morning after crash on Providence Road

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people were hurt after a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Providence Road near Hickman High School in central Columbia.

Boone County Joint Communications warned drivers about the crash in the southbound lanes between Pecan Street and Wilkes Boulevard around 7:40 a.m. Southbound Providence Road is back open to drivers after crews closed part of the road due to the crash.

One person was taken to the hospital, according to the Columbia Fire Department. Firefighters didn't release the patient's name or condition.

More details, including conditions and what caused the crash, weren't immediately available.
