Volunteers to clean up litter near Highway 63 and Interstate 70

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Volunteers and City of Columbia staff will pick up litter along Highway 63 and Interstate 70 on Sunday from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m as part of the 25th annual Cleanup Columbia.

The group will focus on the area south of I-70 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 63.

Cleanup Columbia is a city-wide effort to pick up litter along streets, streams, trails and in parks.

Due to COVID-19, the 2021 Cleanup Columbia event has been dispersed with volunteers working throughout the month on dates and times that best suit their schedule.

There are currently 47 people registered to help with the cleanup.
