Two men charged after Nov. 2020 north Columbia shooting

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two men are now charged after a shooting in north Columbia on Nov. 19, 2020.

According to police, Tevone Stapleton fired shots from his car in the area of Bodie Drive and Edenton Boulevard.

According to court documents, police found nine 9mm shell casings in the street.

The shooting did not injure anyone but police say it damaged property.

Officers also say Tevarius Harris lied to police about who he was with at the time of the shooting.

Prosecutors requested charges of hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence.

Harris is charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence.

Harris' bond is set at $50,000 cash only.

Stapleton is charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

No bond was given to Stapleton to protect the community.
