COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Parkade Plaza in Columbia had no power Wednesday morning after a semi-tractor trailer hit an electric pole.

Columbia Water and Light spokesman Matt Nestor said 383 electric customers were briefly without power for about 30 minutes after the semi hit the pole at 10:18 a.m. He said crews were able to reroute electricity ffor those customers.

The spokesman also said the Parkade Plaza had no power as of 11:07 a.m.

It's unclear what led up to the truck crashing into the pole.

Moberly Area Community College, which has a campus inside the Parkade, said on social media that the campus was closed for the rest of the day because of the outage.

It's unclear when electricity will come back online at the strip mall.
