Columbia man charged after firing gun in SW Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia man is accused of shooting a gun in southwest Columbia and causing property damage.

Columbia police repsonded to a report of shots fire on the 4500 block of West Bellview Dr. on Feb. 1.

Police found a damaged window and a bullet strike that left red paint/coating.

Police stopped a vehicle with two men and 22-year-old Antonio Tatum. All three men had guns, however Tatum's gun thad red projectiles in the chamber.

According to a probable cause statement, Antonio Tatum allegedly shot his gun after being robbed during a drug deal.

Tatum is charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

Tatum's next court date is March 3.
