Columbia police arrested several people at a residence on Saddle Ridge Drive early Tuesday morning.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Several people were arrested at a southwest Columbia residence early Tuesday morning.

An ABC 17 news crew at the scene said officers could be heard saying "Columbia police come out," outside a house in the 5500 block of Saddle Ridge Drive. Five people were taken into custody at the residence.

Police department spokeswoman Brittany Hilderbrand said a neighbor called reported a possible burglary around 3:30 a.m. after seeing the lights were on in the residence that was supposed to be vacant.

At least three Columbia Police Department vehicles responded to the house around 4 a.m. There was a sign in front of the house that said it was "under contract."

Hilderbrand said a 20-year-old woman, an 18-year-old, two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old juvenile were all given a citation for first-degree trespassing.
