Columbia police respond to shooting on Clark Lane
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Columbia police responded to a shooting in the 2200 block of Clark Lane Tuesday morning at 8:36 a.m.
Columbia Police Department spokeswoman Brittany Hilderbrand said three people were hurt in the shooting that was described as a domestic violence incident.
It has been confirmed that the male initiated the violence inside the residence.
Hilderbrand included there were two female victims and one male victim. One female and male were 19 years-old, while the other female age 36.
The spokeswoman said all three were taken to the hospital. One female suffered serious injuries, while the other was treated for minor injuries.
The male suffered from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating the incident. Hilderbrand said one of the victims is also believed to be the suspect. She included there was minor property damage to the building.

Multiple ambulances and emergency vehicles, including the police department crime scene investigation van, were called to the area around 8:50 a.m. Officers put up crime scene tape in front of an apartment building at the scene -- police could be seen walking in and out of an apartment unit.
