Columbia Board of Education to use a new firm to search for the next superintendent

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Board of Education is changing the way they are searching for a new superintendent.

The board had previously done several searches with the aid of the Missouri School Board Association. The district evaluated and performed interviews with five of the seven firms that submitted proposals.

This time the board will use Ray and Associates, Inc. The cost of the agreement is $25,000 and will be covered by the boards operating budget.

Ray and Associates provided how they will conduct the search explaining each step in their proposal to the board.

Ray and Associates says they will spend as much time as needed to conduct a successful search for the Columbia Public Schools.
