Man badly hurt in south Columbia crash
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Police said Friday that a man suffered life-threatening injuries in an early morning crash at a south Columbia intersection.
The crash happened at about 2:40 a.m. at Providence Road and Nifong Boulevard, Columbia police said in a news release. A 33-year-old Columbia man lost control of his Subaru Outback while he was turning west onto Nifong Boulevard from southbound Providence Road, police said.
The vehicle hit a traffic light pole. The man was not wearing a seat belt and was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The release said the man's family has not yet been notified.
Police didn't release any other details.
