LIVE: Virtual celebration of African American Heritage Trail

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

An online event Thursday marked the completion of a trail that commemorates the history of African Americans in Columbia.

The virtual event celebrated the the African American Heritage Trail. The two-mile trail through central Columbia includes 22 markers. Thursday's event included the unveiling of a new marker to be installed at Flat Branch Park.
